Hey my people!
I'm Shelly, I'm a Personal development Coach, Planning Expert and Consultant here to help everyday people just like me to achieve their goals... but this is my journey, the short version.
The Beginning...
Despite difficult beginnings and all statistics suggesting I'm destined for very little in life being young, black, female and coming from a single parent home (with my mum), where I predominantly spent most of my time with my dad's parents in a rough neighbourhood prone to violence and crime... I'm honestly proud to say I AM NOT A STATISTIC!
I've had the pleasure of a successful career in the corporate world training and developing individuals (and teams) to achieve their potential in their career as well as personal lives, spanning across multiple industries and ages, as well as successfully planning million pound projects through to delivery. My track record at this point can actually speaks for itself.
Outside of work, I took my own advise and teachings to apply it to my life. I naturally plan, so I planned most of my life. I mean, what I wanted by what age, where I wanted to be, even when I wanted to have a baby. The best part of it all is that I achieved all my goals! Let's be honest there were more than enough bumps in the road but I made it to my destinations. Achieving goals such as:
- Multiple career promotions
- Huge pay increases
- Buying my first home
- Clearing loans and credit cards
- Becoming self employed
Fast forward...
In 2021 I fell pregnant with my first child, ready to take on a new unknown adventure of parenthood. Being self-employed meant that I wasn't eligible for maternity leave, it was simply the end of my contract and that had me thinking about my future and the work/life balance becoming a new mum.
That's when I thought about how i can do what I love but with the added flexibility to enable me to spend as much time as possible at home with my baby... I decided to extend my skills, knowledge and time to helping others achieve their goals.
My happy & healthy baby boy is my biggest and best achievement of them all. I'm so in love!
Now we’re here!
In addition to the years of corporate experience, I chose to invest a lot of time, effort and money into my own development to acquire additional knowledge and skills. If i want to be at my best, I knew had to invest with the best so I trained with the likes of:
- Les Brown
- Tony Robins
- Dean Graziosi
- and more...
And I don't mean attending a few free webinars and downloading free content, I really invested thousands into my development over the last couple of year. I'm by no means claiming to be a millionaire or that I'll make you one, but I'm a lot more successful and happier in life than I use to be, as are my family because of it.
